Frances R. Kohls, age 84, a former Manitowoc resident, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at the Milan Health Care Center, in Milan, Ind.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born July 3, 1914, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Cecelia Matczynkski Tadych. On June 1, 1936, she married Ralph Kohls at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1986. Frances was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rosary and Altar Society and a former member of the church choir.
Survivors include one son, Ron J. Kohls, Louisville, Ky.; one daughter, Carolyn (Carrie) Sullivan, Batesville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Victor Tadych and Henry Tadych, both of Manitowoc; one sister, Rose Beck, Greenville, N.C. She was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Kohls; three brothers, Stanley, Felix and Theodore Tadych; one sister, Sophie Peaschek.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4-8 p.m. Monday where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Robert Drobka.
Memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Research.
