Ruth Marie Kolodzeske, age 79, of 1019 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 16, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
She was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Coblewski) Kolodzeske. Ruth enjoyed pictures and placing them in her albums. She also enjoyed car ferry cruises on the S.S. Badger which she took several times.
Survivors include three sisters: her twin Rose Marie Rohde, Lucille Coen, Lenore Wilda, all of Manitowoc; and one brother and sister-in-law: Dan Kolodzeske, Superior, and Jean Kolby, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers-in-law: Emily & Martin Meyer, Vernon Coen, Alvin Wilda, Lee J. Rohde and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Alvin & Marie Kolodzeske, Ray Kolby, and Doris Kolodzeske.
A private service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Daniel Schuster, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Aurora BayCare, Green Bay, Aurora Hospice and Shady Lane Nursing Care Center for their compassionate care and support given to Ruth and her family. The family would also like to thank her twin sister, Rose Marie, for her many years of loving care given to Ruth. Ruth will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
