REGINA KOSTUHOSKE

(1899 - 1990)


Regina I. Kostuhoske, 91, formerly of 1114 S. 19th street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, June 12, 1990, at the St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.


Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with burial to follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.


She was born March 18, 1899, in Portage County, Custer, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalie Jazdeski Zinda. She married Joseph J. Kostuhoske on September 18, 1917, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death October 29, 1971. She attended the Portage County School System. She was a 73 year member of the Rosary Society of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stevens Point; a 45 year member of the Rosary and Altar Society of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc; a member of the Miraculous Medal Association; and a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center.


She was the loving mother of three daughters and four sons-in-law, Bernice and Lawrence Russell of Stevens Point, Therese and LeRoy Strauss of Manitowoc, Mary Ann and Ernie Francl of Manitowoc, and Edward Denning of Manitowoc; also survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna Panosh of Manitowoc; she was also the loving and caring grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a very special friend, Kathy Wheeler of Manitowoc; nieces and nephews; and was the cherished friend of many and affectionately known as Grandma K. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph, and a daughter, Genevieve Denning.


Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. where a rosary will be held by the St. Mary's Rosary and Altar Society at 4 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. by the Rev. Roman Zbieranski.
