(1874 - 1948)

Peter Kotarek (sic) Sr., 74, of 1122 South 22nd street, died this morning following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 o’clock at the St. Mary Catholic church, the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery.

Mr. Kotarek (sic) was born in Poland in 1874 and came to Manitowoc in 1905. In 1908 he married Miss Alvina Tadych. For 37 years he was employed at the Rahr Malting company, retiring in 1941. He was a member of the Brewers and Malsters union and the S.P.A. of the St. Mary congregation.

Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Adams and Mrs. Arnold Stenzel of this city and Mrs. Isadore Koscewski of West Kewaunee; two sons, Peter Jr., and John of this city; brother, Anton in Germany; and 12 grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening here the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
