Mrs. Anna Kowalski, 57, a life-long resident of Manitowoc, died this afternoon at her home, 2115 Hamilton street, after a lingering illness of several years.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kowalski is survived by four sons, Bernard, Ervin, Jerome and Raymond, of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Nelson, one sister, Mrs. Frank Merkel, also of this city, six grand children and one great grandchild.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced tomorrow.

Mrs. Kowalski was born in this city in 1888 and always resided here. She was married to Joseph Kowalski 39 years ago. Her husband died seven months ago. A son, Joseph Jr., also preceded her in death. Four sons, a daughter, sister, six grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
