"Miss Alvera Davis is Married in San Francisco (1920)"

Miss Alvera Davis, a sister of Mrs. A.E. Boynton, and formerly a student at the Oroville High School was married on Saturday last to Mr. Robert A. Balester of Honolulu. The wedding took place at the San Francisco home of Mr. and Mrs. Boynton and was witnessed only by immediate relatives of the contracting couple.

The bride made her home in Oroville for several years and attended the high school here. She has many friends in Oroville who will extend felicitations upon the happy event. For a number of years she has made her home in Honolulu and that city was the setting for the romance that culminated in Saturday's wedding. The groom is a member of a promising wholesale grocery firm of Honolulu. After a honeymoon of several weeks, which will be spent at Lake Almanor, Mr. and Mrs. Balester will sail for Honolulu on June 30th and will make their home there.
