HELEN ALICE LIPSKI

Helen Alice Lipski, age 98, and resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died on Friday morning, Oct. 31, 2008, at the home.

Helen was born on April 26, 1910, in Evanston Ill., daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary Ann (Nowak) Szczepaniak. On Aug. 29, 1933, she married Edward A. Lipski at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1978. Helen was employed as a seasonal worker with the Manitowoc Tinsel Factory for 32 years. Helen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Manitowoc, and a 74-year member of the St. Clare Society, formerly known as the St. Mary's Rosary & Altar Society. She was also a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Anthony "Tony" and Mary Ann Lipski, Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Ann and Warren Place, Grafton; Rita and George Reidinger, Wheeling, Ill.; and Dee Ann and Michael Slattery, Rockford, Ill.; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter: Morgan Lipski; three brothers; two sisters; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi, Marshall Site, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Marshall Site, Manitowoc, from 9 to 11 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the third floor nursing staff of St. Mary's Home for their loving and compassionate care given to Helen.
