Schuette, John H.

John H. Schuette, age 89, of 1301 Memorial Drive, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his son Tim's residence in the town of Two Rivers.

John was born October 12, 1924 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late John A. and Gertrude Auman Schuette. John was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1942. He continued his education at the Culver Military Academy and then entered the United States Army and served overseas during World War II receiving the Silver Star during his tour of duty. John was honorably discharge with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He returned to Manitowoc and continued his education at Lawrence University in Appleton. John then became employed with Invincible Metal Furniture Company starting at entry level employment positions and after 45 years of his lifetime career with the company he retired in 1991 as President. He was married to Alberta "Bubbles" Pekarske in 1948 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1988. He later married Lynnette Huck on July 31, 1992 in Manitowoc. John was a lifetime member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Throughout his life John had been a member of TRW Pigeon Racing Club, Eagles Club, Yacht Club, Elks Club and the American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88.

He is survived by his wife: Lynnette; three sons and two daughters-in-law: David and Lori Schuette, Reedsville, WI; John "Jay" and Linda Schuette, Three Lakes, WI; Rev. Tim Schuette, Two Rivers, WI; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister: Doris Stueck, Manitowoc, WI; godchildren, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: John A. and Gertrude Schuette; one daughter in infancy: Christine Schuette; one sister: Lois Schuette along with other relatives.

A private Life Celebration Memorial Service for the family will be held at a later date at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, Manitowoc. Cremation will have taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the cremains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. John will be greatly missed by family and friends. He will live on in our hearts forever. He was all too special as he had a way of making others around him feel important and appreciated. Thank you John for all your caring ways, love, and support.

Homecare and hospice would not have happened for John without John's angels (caretakers). They did a wonderful job caring for John. Also, much appreciation should be given to John's doctors.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
