Myra Denise Coleman Booker passed away on Monday, August 29, 2005 in Biloxi, MS at the age of 42. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph "Joe" Coleman and Mary Ruth Coleman; three sisters: Doreen Coleman, Annie Jetter, and Ora Turner; two brothers: Eddie Coleman, Sr. and Rev. J.C. Coleman. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters: Janeysa Batey and Mariah Coleman; one son: George Batey Jr.; eight sisters: Ruth C. Smith of Biloxi, Dorothy (Alford) Fairley of Gautier, Darlene Coleman Nix of Biloxi, Mary Yancy, Pearlie Tyson of Butler, AL, Ethel Phillips of Columbus, OH, Lena Washington, Ruth Taylor, Columbus, OH; seven brothers: Jimmie Lee Coleman of Biloxi, James David Coleman of Norfolk, VA, Benjamin (Estelle) Coleman of Moss Point, Thomas Edison Coleman of Vancleave, John Louis Coleman of Mainz, Germany, Joseph Coleman and James Benjamin Coleman of Columbus, OH, and her fiancé Joseph Thompson of Biloxi; a devoted niece and good friend Alisha (Brian) Reid of Biloxi; best friend and cousin from birth: Evelyn (Steve) Smith of Ocean Springs; a special thank you for helping through the years with the kids to: Joyce (Dennis) Rogers, Sheila (Doug) Reid, Geraldine Anderson, Inez Thomas, and Estella Richardson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends. She will be very much missed by the faculty and staff of A.E. Perkins Head Start, and little girls and boys she helped to nurture and loved so dearly.
