Mrs. Alice H. Buckey Danford, aged sisty-two years, wife of Luke E. Danford, died at her home in Ava at 3:30 o'clock last Friday afternoon following an illness of many years duration. Mrs. Danford was widely known throughout the northern section of Noble County and was most highly esteemed by an unusually wide circle of friends. she was a devoted member of the Ava Methodist Church an is survived by her husband and one grandfson, Irvil danford, Jr. two brothers, Frank Buckey of near Ava, and Otis Buckey of Zanesville and two sisters, Mrs. homer Danford of Byesville rural route and Mrs. Charles Bryan of Ava, also survive. Mrs. Danford was a member of Anne Dalzell Tent, Daughters of Union Veterans, at Caldwell and was well known at this place. Funeral services were held in the Ava Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the Halley's Ridge Cemetery.
