Rev. James Linvel Fallwell, 82, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed from this life into Eternal Life on Sunday, October 20, 2013, in St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on June 8, 1931, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Hester Hazel (Sims) Fallwell and Cecil E.C. Fallwell. He married the love of his life, Joy Eleen (Weese) Fallwell on July 8, 1950, in Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas. They celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary this year.

James, often called "Jimmy" or "Jim", worked most of his life as an auto and diesel truck mechanic. He was also an ordained minister through Full Gospel Assembly Church in Oklahoma City, OK, under the ministry of Rev. J. C. Hibbard, Jr.

Rev. James Fallwell has performed many wedding ceremonies for family members and friends in Oklahoma. He had a beautiful tenor voice in which he would sing "The Lord's Prayer" and "You Light Up My Life", among other songs, at the weddings in which he officiated. Everyone loved to hear him sing "The Lighthouse" in which he could hit those high tenor notes. More than anything, he loved his grandchildren and he enjoyed studying the Holy Bible and talking about the Lord and the Word of God. He also loved to write poetry and is a published poet.

James was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leander Cecil Fallwell and Boyd Eugene Fallwell; one sister, Mildred Ella Gabriel; and one grandson, Jason Scott Taylor.

I BELIEVE
by James Linvel Fallwell

To live, to live, that is our quest,
Our choices real, we cannot guess.
Immortality shows it's head,
Our fate our hope, we will not dread.
We're justified by what we say,
Sealed in our heart by how we pray.
A clear bell rings, a voice I hear,
Falling so gently, on my ear.
"Just believe, believe", my quest, my quest,
Immortality now, a welcome guest!
