Joyce L. Pritts, age 71, went to be with the Lord she loved January 21, 1999.

Joyce Leon Warren Pritts was born May 8, 1927 on a farm north of the Olive Hill Church in Jewell County, Kansas to Ada M. (Bacon) and James B. Warren. Joyce was the fifth of seven children.

She was baptized in the Olive Hill Church at the age of eleven and attended this church until her marriage. Joyce attended Triumph grade school and graduated from the Superior, Nebraska high school in 1945.

On September 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Elvin Virl Pritts at her parents' home in Jewell County, Kansas. To this union was born one daughter and two sons. Joyce loved to embroidery and pieced quilts for her family. Her
flower garden was her pride and joy which was enjoyed by everyone.

Joyce was a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church. She was secretary of the Memorial Committee of the Red Cloud Methodist Church. She was a Sunday
School teacher, 4-H leader, member of the F.N. Club, and Pink Lady at the Webster County Community Hospital.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers: Blaine and Clifford; a sister Wanda Lee; son-in-law Thomas E. Holdt, Sr. and brother-in-law Loyd Howell.

Survivors are her husband Elvin Pritts of Guide Rock; daughter Janet Holdt-Jamison and husband Earl of Grand Island, Nebraska; two sons: Terrell and wife Rhonda of Little Rock, Arkansas and Wayne and wife Kathy of Chicago,
Illinois; 4 grandchildren: Tom and Andy Holdt and Amy and Joshua Pritts. Also surviving are two sisters: Irene Howell of Burr Oak, Kansas and Phyllis Lange and husband Bill of Mankato, Kansas; a brother Neil Warren and wife Helengrace of Lindsborg, Kansas; sister-in-law Helen Warren of WaKeeney, Kanswas, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
