LINDA HAGER
Linda May Hager, 78, of 5549 Butman Rd., Gladwin, died Tuesday, May 11, in the Clare Nursing Home following a long illness.
Born in Brown City on October 12, 1897, she moved to Gladwin County in December 1931, from Detroit and had lived in Butman Township since that time.
Mrs. Hager was a member of World War I Barracks No. 3421 Auxiliary.
The former Linda Flynn, she was married to Harry Hager on Feb. 2, 1918, in Detroit.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Robert of Gladwin; five daughters, Mrs. Henry (Ruth) Klassen and Mrs. Jean Corlew of Gladwin, Mrs. John (Shirley) Corlew of Genesee, Mrs. Wayne (Beverly) Peters and Mrs. Ben (Bonnie) Smith of Flint; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Bechberger of Berkley; two brothers, Howard of Detroit and Bruce of Mt. Clements; 22 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Gladwin Free Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Shoaff officiated and burial was in the Butman Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Mathews Funeral Home. Gladwin County Record dated 5-19/1976
