Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Gerral James Bordelon, 66, who passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his residence in Lafayette.
Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and resumes Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary will be recited Friday, October 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.
Father Arockiam Arockiam, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Broussard, will officiate.
Gerral was born Sunday, December 8, 1946 in Bordelonville and was a longtime resident of Acadiana. He was the owner and manager of Iberia Mortgage & Loan Company for 40 years. Gerral was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved to garden. Gerral dearly loved his family and friends and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Bordelon is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Carolyn Marcotte Bordelon of Lafayette; two children, son, Scott Thomas Bordelon of Lafayette; daughter, Andrea Bordelon Miller of New Iberia; two sisters, Christine Guillory and husband, Jim, of Plaucheville, Vickie Arnouville and husband, Ronald, of Bordelonville; two grandchildren, Jonah Lincoln Miller and Jordan Lenee' Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lincoln Jules and Malena Mary Bordelon, son-in-law, Charles Edward Miller, and brother, Jude Dwayne Bordelon.
