Charles F. Dickinson, 92, of Campbellsport, formerly of Montello and Elkhart Lake died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport.
He was born on October 18, 1918 in Malta Bend, MO, the son of the late Charles R. and Bonnie Cowen Dickinson.
On May 4, 1945, he married Alice Mae Braddy in Stillman Valley, IL. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2010.
He worked for General Telephone Company (now Verizon) for 38 years.
Dad enjoyed playing his harmonica in his early years and in later years he enjoyed sitting on his porch in Montello. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield with Pastor Barbara Merwin.
Survivors include his daughters, Lorraine "Lori" Wagner and her husband, John Dollinger of Punta Gorda, FL and Linda Ehlenbeck and her husband, Don of Elkhart Lake; his grandchildren, Tracy (Ron) Roberts of Sparta, TN, Carrie (Ted) Hartman of Ormond Beach, FL, Sheri Finger of Tampa, FL and Charles (friend Ranee Medved) Ehlenbeck of Elkhart Lake; his brother, James Dickinson of Slinger; six great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; his sisters, Marge Sponholz of West Bend and Gerry (Wallace) Ritterbusch of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Alice; his daughter, Betty Jean; a son-in-law, James Wagner; five brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be Wednesday February 2, 2011 at the Twohig Funeral Home 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Elkhart Lake.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Heartland Hospice.
