James Newell Kane, 47, a Sparks native, died Christmas Day at his home in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Mr. Kane had lived in Mt. Clemens for 25 years. He was a press operator for the Chrysler Corporation, and a veteran of World War II.
He was born on May 18, 1919. A twin brother preceded him in death 25 years ago.
Mr. Kane is survived by his wife, Helen Kane, of Mt. Clemens, his mother, Mrs. Pearl Moberg of Sparks, a sister, Marion Pearson of Oakland, and a brother, Edward Kane of Sparks. Two aunts, May Dunham and Diane Foster of Reno also survive, as do several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Pyramid Funeral Home in Sparks at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Fay Sikes of Unity Church officiating. Entombment will follow at the Masonic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
