Mrs. Mary Hess Bodenstein, wife of the late Frederick Bodenstein died at her home in Staatsburg Friday morning. She was 91 years old and had been ill for several days. Mrs. Bodenstein was the daughter of the late John and Mary Weiss Hess. She was a lifelong resident of Staatsburg. She was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal church and had been a member of the Woman's Auxiliary of the church for more than 50 years. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Nettie Bodenstein of Staatsburg, and a grandson. Funeral services were held at St. Margaret's church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. R. Maxwell Bradner officiating. Burial took place in Rhinebeck cemetery. Bearers were John Bodenstein, George L. Hess, Jr., Alfred Nichols, Ernest Bodenstein and Ralph Bodenstein. The Rhinebeck Gazette, November 21, 1946
