Aurelia Dale Blankenship, age 91, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Silver Ridge Assisted Living in Colleyville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, of Olney, officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney
Aurelia was born September 3, 1922 in Seymour, Texas to the late Hardy W. and Emma Leona (Hutchison) Wall. She moved from Seymour to Fort Worth, Texas in 1945 and was retired from A.T. Sellers at Western Homes Company as their bookkeeper. Aurelia was a member of the Churches of Christ. She and Van Earl Blankenship were married on October 4, 1941 in Fort Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Weldon Wall, Ralph Wall, and Dalton Wall; and two sisters: Peggy Curtis and Carla Hughes.
Aurelia is survived by her son, Van Earl "Skipper" Blankenship, Jr. and wife Sharon of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Tanya Aurelia Blankenship of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Clyde Eugene Wall and wife Kay of Haslett, Texas; sister, Naomi Bagley of Crowley, Texas; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Family visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
