Succumbs At 75
Harrison Haze McKinney, 75, of Lester died at 3:30 pm. Friday in a local nursing home after a long illness.
Born July 6, 1890 at Ghent, he was a son of the late Alfred and Polly McKinney.
Survivors include
two brothers,
Jerd of Rhodell and
Henry of Odd;
a sister,
Martha Jane Bailey of Slab Fork;
five sons,
James Ralph,
William Haden,
Henry Haden,
Emmet Franklin, and
Ray Lee, all of Raleigh County;
two daughters,
Miss Martha Opal McKinney, at home, and
Mrs. Ina May White of Texas;
28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel at Mac Arthur with Rev. Dewey Acord and Rev. Oliver Tedder in charge.
Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 5 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Shumate, Willis O'Neal, Austin Acord, Paul Acord, Don Cochran, and Frank Harris.
