Their children were Charles, William, Martha, James H. (J.H.), Emma A., Frank and Edward.

Their fourth child Emma A. Carrick, married Harold "Harry" Story and they moved to Chicago. She and her children died young, and Harry remarried to Lucy Belle Hart Story.

Emma is buried in Rosehill Cemetery alongside Harry Story and her children.
