Bernice Gates, age 87, formerly of 2313 Washington Street, Two Rivers, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers.

Bernice was born June 27, 1925, in Champaign, IL, daughter of the late John and Myrtle (nee Isham) Lincicome. She married George A. Gates on June 21, 1952 in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2005.

Bernice was a waitress at various restaurants, a press operator at Leyse Aluminum in Kewaunee, and worked as a press operator at Mirro before her retirement. She was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, Eagles Club, Bohemian Lodge and the VFW Women's Auxiliary all of Two Rivers.

Survivors include nieces, nephews and one sister-in-law; Cecilia Pleus, Manitowoc. Bernice was preceded in death by one brother Homer Lincicome and two sisters; Edna Lincicome and Marquirite Ostendorf.

Bernice's wishes were that there be no services for her. Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Bernice's cremated remains will be laid to rest next to her husband George at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
