Bertha M. Bowman, of McSherrystown, entered into Heavenly rest October 8 in Gettysburg.

She was the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Myers) Murren.

Mrs. Bowman was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in McSherrystown. She was retired from Princess Laundry in Hanover. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Bowman, who departed this life December 22,1985, and is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Murphy of Norfolk, VA, and Joan Hamberger of Gettysburg; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Teresa Murren of McSherrystown.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Grumbine; three brothers, William Myers, Francis Murren, and Brother Simon Murren CSC, and four sisters, Carrie Frederick, Elizabeth Murren, Stella Wildasin, and Mary Grace Dennis.
