Deborah "Debby" A. Lindquist, 60, formerly of New Holstein, passed early Sunday morning, Feb. 24, 2013. She passed after a long courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Even though she had the hardship and struggles that accompanied MD, she always faced life head on with a positive attitude. She was the epitome of "free spirited" and it flowed from her each and every day.

She was brought into this world Deborah Ann Hoefler on Aug. 24, 1952, the first of seven daughters of Les and Fern Hoefler. She attended New Holstein public schools. She married Donald Lindquist on Feb. 14, 1972 (Oct. 31, 1991). She was known as the "pizza lady" at Pick 'n Save South in West Bend.

Survivors include two daughters, Carla of West Bend and Sara (Tom Jahnke) of Whitefish Bay; grandson Patrick of West Bend; parents Les and Fern Hoefler of Green Bay; six sisters, Sherry (Lee) Halbach of Fond du Lac, Bonnie (Wayne) Bailey of Green Bay, Cindy (Dave) Worthen of St. Germain, Lori (Mike) Keltesch of Kiel, Tammie Bernsteen of St. Germain, and Jenny (Joe) Minaudo of St. Germain; daughter-like friend of the family Melissa Engel, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call for a Celebration of Life, which will be held April 13, 2013, at the Community Center in Kiel, from 1-3 p.m.

Debby and her family would like to say a very special thank you to Dr. Smale, Dr. Mosley, Dr. Peltier, and all the St. Joseph's ICU nurses and hospital staff.
