Richie, as everyone knew him, was born on October 24, 1943 in Paducah to Robert Wesley Gibbs and Jewel Gibbs. He married Sharon Bain in 1962. They had three children, Shaunah, Stacey, and Shera. He married Laquita Pendleton on October 24, 1981.
Richie was a farmer/cattleman and also a Meat Inspector for the State of Texas. Richie was a life member of the First Baptist Church, Texas State Rifle Association, and the National Rifle Association. Richie was very kind and loved by many people.
Richard is survived by his wife: Laquita Gibbs of Paducah
Three Children: Shaunah and Gaylon Dozier of Paducah, Stacey Gibbs of Rowlett, and Shera and Troy Stone of Lewisville.
One sister: Rita Hughes of Paducah
Five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Robert Gibbs.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Paducah Cemetery Association or to the National Rifle Association.
Following the Graveside Service the family will be at the Community Center if anyone would like to come by and visit.
