PHILIP GOETZ

Philip Goetz, 78, of 719 South 15th St., Manitowoc, retired park worker, died early Saturday at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o'clock at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, in Manitowoc. Mr. Goetz was born at Northeim in 1874 and when a child his parents moved to Sturgeon Bay. He returned to Manitowoc in 1915 and until his retirement in 1949 was employed in the Manitowoc park service for 12 years. He was a blacksmith by trade. In 1918 he married Miss Anna Hotz. She survives with a brother, William of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. George Kohlbeck, of Maplewood, Wis. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday.
