In 1917 Mr. Goetz formed a partnership with another Manitowoc man, William C. Beduhn, and they established a furniture store on Tenth street in that city. A year and half later they bought out the late D.L. Boyle in Two Rivers and continued the furniture and undertaking business.

For a number of years Mr. Goetz was a member of the board of directors of the Lake Shore Funeral Directors' association. He was also one of the first members of the Rotary club here and was affiliated with the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name society and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.

Twenty-one years ago Mr. Goetz was married in St. Boniface church in Manitowoc to Miss Ida Jagodinsky of that city. She died here on Nov. 15, 1929. On April 4, 1934, he married Miss Leona Froelich, formerly of Chicago, who survives with two daughters, Germaine and Esther, both residing at home at 1521 26th street.
