Darlene G. Gosz, age 86, of 2315 Clark Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life Tuesday afternoon, October 22, 2013 at the family residence.
Darlene was born January 6, 1927 in the town of Liberty, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Christine Schultz Lutzke. Darlene was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1945. She had been employed for 40 years at Kornely's-Drink-Atorium as a bartender. She married Thomas Gosz in 1953. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1989. Darlene enjoyed playing dartball in local leagues, taking rides in the country, listening and dancing to polka music.
She is survived by her children: Barry (Joanne) Vetter, Manitowoc; Dennis Vetter, Manitowoc; Kim Vetter, Manitowoc; Kristy (Randy) Schultz, Manitowoc; Kathy Moser, Manitowoc; Thomas "Jay" (Maureen) Gosz, Town of Liberty; Mario Gosz, Manitowoc; Romy (Tami) Gosz, Manitowoc; twenty grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; two sisters: Jeanette (Eugene Springstube) Wernecke, Manitowoc; LaVerne "Lovie" (Donald) Lensmire, Kewaunee, WI; one brother: Gary (Beatrice) Lutzke, Stangelville, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Norman and Christine Lutzke; husband: Thomas Gosz; and infant son and daughter; one brother: Norman Lutzke Jr.
Private funeral services for the family were held on Friday afternoon, October 25, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating was Rev. Dave Pleier with cremation following the service at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
