F. E. Marble Dies Suddenly Today
Ferdinand E. Marble, age 72, died suddenly this morning at Ashland Country Club, death being caused by heart trouble. His body was discovered in the professional’s office, where he was employed, by the greens keeper, R. F. Zechman, at noon. Death occurred sometime between 11:20 a.m. and 12 noon.
Since the death of his wife, six years ago, Marble had made his home with his only child, Duane P. Marble, 723 West Main Street. For years, he was an employee in the foundry at F. E. Myers and Bro. Co.

BURIAL PLOT:
Alona Wages Sailor, the daughter of Ferdinand Wages and Elizabeth Larason Drake approved that Ferdinand Emery Marble & wife Martha Jane Wages could be buried in Section 1, Plot 542 in graves 4 & 1, the plot owned by Elizabeth Larason Drake Ferdinand Wages in #3 & Elizabeth Larson Drake in #2.
Years later, grandson, George Downs Marble (Economics Professor of Ashland College) and wife, Marion Dannley paid to have Ferdinand Emery Marble and Martha Jane Wages names inscribed into the stone memorial monolith.
