Mrs. William E. Bancroft, age 60 of Raccoon Rd., Canfield R.D. 2, died at her home at 8:15 pm yesterday. She had been ill six months with a heart ailment.
Born in Gustavus, O., June 2, 1887, daughter of the late Norman L. and Josephine M. Norris, Mrs. Bancroft lived in Canfield the past 30 years. She married William E. Bancroft of Youngstown on Aug. 1, 1907.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Aut-Mori Caldron.
Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Virginia) Corll of Canfield, Mrs. Randall (Marian) Glenn of Columbiana, Mrs. William R. (Alta) Cummings of Warren, and Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Wehr of Canfield; two sons N. Norris of Canfield, and William L. of Poland; two brothers, George E. Norris of Oakland, Calif., and N.L. Norris Jr. of Poland, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm at the Williams Funeral Home, Canfield, where friends may call Sunday evening.
