LEWIS KENNETH RHODES OF GORHAM IS DEAD

Lewis Kenneth Rhodes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis [Lewis & Etta Rhodes] Rhodes of Gorham, died at St. Andrew's hospital, Monday at 7:30 a.m. He was 3 years. The body was consigned to Alto Pass at 11:27 Tuesday via the M & O for burial. The funeral services were heard at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Adolph Naegele, of 203 Murphy street, at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. R. Frank Mitchell officiating.

Kenneth, along with his sister Kathryn and some visiting children from their church, were jumping on the bed, when Kenneth was shoved off of the bed and hit his head on the ground and became unconscious. Immediately he was rushed to the hospital and sometime later he regained consciousness. He was blind for 7 days in the hospital and died. Before he died, he was christened with his sister Kathryn on June 5, 1919.
