Services for Margaret Viola Kling, 84, of East Moline, formerly of Silvis and Moline are 11 a.m. Saturday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time. Mrs. Kling died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at Illini Hospital, Silvis.

The former Margaret Benge was born Aug. 10, 1910, in Seward, Kan., the daughter of Manley and Olive Sarver Benge. She married Lloyd Sherwood in Fort Worth, Texas. She later married Dale Jacobs in 1947, in Moline. She then married Michael Kling in Rock Island. He died in 1963.

She was employed as a cook at O'Toole's Milky Way in Coal Valley, American Cafe in Silvis, and Farmall Cafe in Rock Island. She enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include daughters, Mildred Garrett, Pearl Wheiless and Elizabeth Cochrahan, all of Fort Worth; sons, Lloyd and Larkin Sherwood, both of Fort Worth, and Roger Jacobs, Moline; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Minerva Pierce, East Moline.

A daughter, Wanda Jacobs, died in 1950.
