Minnie was the daughter of James and Janet (Phillips) Evans. She spent most of her lifetime in Spencer, Indiana. Early in life she was a member of the Spencer Christian Church and she kept that membership. Only the last few years of her life did she live away from Spencer with her daughter, Mrs. Clayton Fulk.
Minnie married Clarence E. McGee and to this union was their children: Barbara, Lucille, Vesta and Erma. Their daughter Erma was born November 9, 1904 and had been ill about a month. Erma died April 18, 1920. She had a smile for everyone and to know her was to love her.
