Virginia R. Milburn, 96, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL.

Services will be Friday, November 1st, at 11:00 a.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.

Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Continuing Care Center.

Virginia Ruth Taylor was born in Kansas City, MO, on November 5, 1916, to Thomas and Alys (Jameson) Taylor. On January 14, 1936, in Chicago, IL, she married Boyd O. "Buck" Milburn, who preceded her in death March 24, 1992.

Virginia enjoyed and long and healthy life, and before the death of her daughters, Carole and Vonda (Bonnie), included five generations. After his retirement, she and Buck resided for a short time relaxing in Mesa, AZ.

She was a magnificent seamstress for many years, sewing beautiful wardrobes, quilting, and crocheting. She dearly loved leisure time spent with family, singing, dancing, enjoying jokes, and telling them of the American history she had lived. She will be truly missed.

Survivors include, Son-in-Law: Tom Ronk; Grandchildren: Scott Ronk, Jay Ronk, and Randy Ronk, all of Moline, Dana (Ron) Potthoff of Sterling, IL, Tommy Ronk of Moline; Dirk (Laura) Ronk of Moline, Ron (Christy) of Rock Island, Dan Crimmins and Dave Crimmins, both of Silvis, Larry (Donna) Crimmins and Cindy (Todd) Price, all of East Moline; eighteen great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters: Carol and Vonda (Bonnie); a sister: June Taylor Hussy; a granddaughter: Diane Ronk; a great-granddaughter: Taylor Jean Crimmins; and her beloved K9 Yorkie companion, "Tina".
