FAIRBURY - The Funeral Of Edward David Bachtold, 53, of Cleburne, Texas, formerly of Fairbury, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
The Rev. Stanley Rapp will officiate. Burial will be in Cropsey Cemetery, Cropsey. Military rites will be accorded by Fairbury's John Joda Post No. 54 of the American Legion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the memorial home.
Mr. Bachtold died Friday (May 28, 1993) in Fort Worth, Texas, after a two-car accident.
He was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Cropsey, a son of Elmer and Eunice Brucker Bachtold. He married Judy Dunn Harper July 21, 1961, in Cropsey.
Surviving are his father, rural Fairbury; two daughters, a brother; and four grandchildren.
His mother and a son preceded him in death.
Mr. Bachtold served in the Army from Jan. 13, 1958, to Jan. 5, 1961. He was formerly employed at Howard Arnold Construction Co., Fairbury, and had most recently worked as a heavy equipment operator at T.L. James Construction, Fort Worth, for 15 years.
Memorials may be made to the Southeastern Livingston County Ambulance Service or to a charity of the donor's choice.
