Preceding him in death were his parents, Lloyd and Bernedie Carlson; brother, Lloyd, Jr.; and sister, Jeanine.

George is survived by his wife, Jeanne; one daughter, Amy (Drew) Madden of Los Angeles, CA; two sons, Tony Carlson of Maple Grove, MN and Michael (Kim) Carlson of Woodbury, MN; one sister, Mary Kay (John King) Carlson of St. Paul, MN; two grandsons, Aidan and Kevin Carlson; and many nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be in the Zion Lutheran Columbarium.
