Son of Floyd Dawson Stahl and Edna Gertrude Sanders, William or "Bill" married Ruth Janice Marble, the daughter of Duane Pierce Marble and Magdalene Knapp of Ashland, Ohio on January 14, 1939 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas. A lifelong resident and businessman of Ashland, "Bill" Stahl had been owner of Stahl's Hardware after working there with his parents since 1929. He retired from the hardware business in the late 1960s.
