Mr. Anderson was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and retired as a Lieutenant from the City of Atlanta Police Department where he was a member of the Honor Guard.
He was a Mason and the Owner of Anderson Pest Control Company.
Survivors include son, James Douglas Anderson and wife Cynthia V. of McDonough; 2 daughters, Patricia "Dee Dee" Moran of Forest Park, GA, and Kathryn Anderson of Jonesboro, GA; son-in-law, William B. Lites, III of Forest Park, GA; 5 grandchildren: Natalie Michelle Pfister, Jason Douglas Anderson, Michael Joseph Moran, Carrie Amanda Bradham and Kimberly Darlene Lancaster; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Estelle Coker, Ann Coffee and husband, David, Patsy Mayfield and husband Neal; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Catherine Delores Anderson and a daughter, Deborah Elaine Lites.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 19, 2007, 2PM at Horis A. Ward's Parkway Chapel with Rev. Bobby Simmons officiating.
