DARLENE F. HOEFFNER FRISCH
Darlene Emma Hoeffner Frisch, born April 7, 1933 in Two Creeks, Wis., daughter
of the late Walter and Evelyn Engelbrecht of Two Rivers, Wis., passed away
peacefully with her family at her side, Aug. 27, 2012 after a courageous battle
with cancer.
Darlene was married to Lester Hoeffner in 1952 until his passing in 2001 in
Apache Junction, AZ, where they resided since 1992. Darlene and Lester owned
and operated Dee's Bar-B-Q from 1981-1992 in Manitowoc before moving to Apache
Junction, AZ. She later remarried in 2005 and spent the rest of her life with
Robert Frisch at their home in Apache Junction, AZ.
Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Robert Frisch; a daughter, Audrey
(Steve) Creutz of Manitowoc; sons including, Lee (Cindy) Hoeffner of Branch,
Todd (Connie) of Prescott, AZ, a step-daughter, Debbie (Mack) Jones of
Sacramento, CA. Additional survivors include her sister, Connie (Ronald) Messman,
brother, Harlan (Brenda) Engelbrecht; two sisters-in-law, Janet Engelbrecht and
Eunice (Joe) Hrudka, also Neil (Mary) Hoeffner of Manitowoc.
Darlene lived a full life and leaves behind many grandchildren, great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Walter and Evelyn Engelbrecht, brother, Glenn Engelbrecht and in-laws, Walter
and Erna Hoeffner. A memorial services for Darlene will be held at a later date
in Manitowoc, Wis.
