Funeral services for Arcadius Bertrand, 67. who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Lejeune, at the Tepetate Oil Field, Monday 10 at a.m., were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church of this city, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, the Rev. M. Cramers, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Fuselier Cemetery with Ardoin Funeral Home of Eunice in charge.
Surviving are a son, Ameduse Bertrand; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Victorine Bertrand) Lejeune and Mrs. Christoval (Melena Bertrand) Doucet. Also 3 brothers, Octave and Artelus Bertrand of the Point Au Fie Community, Theodore Bertrand of Mamou (son of Charles Derosin & Melena (Vige) Bertrand); two sisters, Mrs. Onezime (Sidonie Previne Bertrand, daughter of Charles Derosin & Melina (Vige) Bertrand) Bergeron of Frey and Mrs. Marcena Vasseur of Eunice and 51 grand and great-grandchildren.
