ZOFIA ZDONEK EAST CHICAGO, IN Zofia Zdonek, age 91, of East Chicago, passed away Wednesday October 30, 2013. Zofia is survived by her children: Roman (Mary) Zdonek, Halina (James) Leibrand, Donna (Richard) Asbell, Ziggy (Judy) Zdonek and Walter Henry (Diane) Zdonek; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; niece and caregiver, Katherine Bartkiw. Preceded in death by her husband, Zygmunt and her siblings. Zofia loved to cook and bake for her family. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed the time spent with her loving family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 2, 2013 at 10:30 AM DIRECTLY at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church 8624 White Oak Ave., Munster with Fr. Yaroslav Mendyuk officiating.
