Hugo Carl Coleman, 54, of 1824 Belmont St., Manitowoc [WI], formerly of Ironwood, died at Holy Trinity Hospital at Manitowoc at 9:30 this morning. He had been in ill health for the past year.
Mr. Coleman was born in Ironwood March 6, 1898 and was educated in the local schools. He had made his home here until he went to Manitowoc 10 years ago. At Manitowoc he had been employed by the Manitowoc Shipbuilding.
He married the former Thelma Johns here in 1936. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Myrna, at home; a brother, Paul L. Coleman, Ironwood; four sisters, Miss Amy E. Coleman and Mrs. Carl Runstrom, Ironwood, Mrs. Charles Harry, Houghton, and Mrs. R. E. Heidemann, Negaunee.
Funeral services will be conducted here in the Nyberg-Miller Mortuary at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. W. H. Ward. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from Friday noon and on Saturday until the hour of services.
The body will be brought to Ironwood after services tomorrow morning in the Pfeffer Funeral Home at Monitowoc, with the Rev. St. Clair officiating.
