Bernice E. (Kraemer) Zimmermann, age 87, of 1611 Cherry Road Manitowoc, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Bernice was born March 26, 1925 in Manitowoc daughter of the late Ludwig and Gena (Peterson) Kraemer. On May 24, 1947 she married William G. Zimmermann at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death March 11, 1995. She was a fourth generation lifetime member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church of Manitowoc.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Lynne (Wayne) Bolle, Whitelaw; Kaye (Jack) Forystek, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Jennifer Knuth, Green Bay; Nathan Knuth, Eau Claire; Justin Knuth, Appleton; one sister: Margaret Wage, Manitowoc; one brother: William Kraemer, Allouez; special friends and neighbors who helped her when ever needed: Cindy and David Peck; Cindy Leist; Dan, Sharon and Roger Schlies; Greta Svatek; Karen and Milt Bashaw, nieces nephews other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Zimmermann; one infant son: William Gilbert Zimmermann; one brother and two sisters-in-law: John (Emogene) Kraemer; Mary Kraemer; sister and brother-in-law: Marian (Kenneth) Neubauer; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Mary Kraemer; Karl Wage; Robert (Marilyn) Zimmermann.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 2601 South 10th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Brian Staude will officiate. Burial of her cremated remains will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to St Paul Ev. Lutheran Church or Lakeshore Humane Society. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the Zimmermann family with funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com
