Rebecca was eighth of nine children born to Newberry YORK (1784-1866) and Nancy A. SLADE York (1784-1874). She was married to Samuel ARMSTRONG (1818-1876) on December 1st, 1842, in Darke Co., OH.

Mrs. Rebecca Armstrong, widow of the late Samuel Armstrong, died at the home of her son Job Armstrong, 5 miles north west of Versailles, Sunday evening, Sep. 1, '07, aged 84 years, 4 months, and 21 days.

Funeral services were held from Brock Christian church, Sept. 3, conducted by M. M. Markwith; interment in Brock cemetery.
Rebecca was eighth of nine children born to Newberry YORK (1784-1866) and Nancy A. SLADE York (1784-1874). She was married to Samuel ARMSTRONG (1818-1876) on December 1st, 1842, in Darke Co., OH.
