MARTHA FRANCES ASHCRAFT CROWN POINT, IN Martha Frances Ashcraft (nee McAulay) of Crown Point, IN was born November 23, 1927 in Hattiesburg, MS and passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Ashcraft Sr.; and her parents: Lochlin McAulay and Lillian Aileen (nee Culpepper) McAulay. Martha is survived by her children: Sue (Gary) Clements, Carl (Mary Beth) Ashcraft Jr., Cara D. (Bob Buisseret) Butkovic, Claire D. Ashcraft, and Crista (Tom) Reba; seven grandchildren: Michelle, Jason, and Aaron Wampler, Carl and Susan Ashcraft, William Kane, and Kristen Vincenzo; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Martha spent her childhood years living in Dallas, TX and eventually settled in Griffith, IN to raise her family. She loved Scrabble Club and her weekly visits to the beauty shop. Memorial contributions may be made in Martha's loving memory to St. Anthony Hospice of Crown Point, IN. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., (one-half mile south of U.S. 30), Schererville, IN with Rev. Bob Parnell officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family Friday, June 28, 2013 from 9:30 a.m until the time of service.
