Mrs. Freyberg died early Monday morning at her home, 512 Wisconsin avenue. In 1911, she suffered a stroke of paralysis and had not been in the best of health since. At eleven o'clock Sunday night she had another stroke and lived until three o'clock the next morning.
Caroline Kestner was born in Utica, N.Y., December 11, 1846, and while a young girl came with her parents to this county. They settled at Howards Grove where in 1865, she was married to C.B. Freyberg. For some time they lived at Howards Grove, having a grocery store there for a year. He then bought the sawmill at Meeme, which was formerly owned by his father. Later he and his brothers ran a flour mill in Sheboygan, then a saw mill here and in 1890, the Novelty company was incorporated.
Mrs. Freyberg had been a resident of the city for thirty nine years. Mr. Freyberg died in June, 1908. Four daughters survive her. They are Mrs. Wm. Waterman, Plymouth; Mrs. Guido Nehrlich, Mrs. Walter Piper and Miss Lissette of this city.
The funeral was held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. Horstmeier officiating and interment was in Wildwood cemetery.-Sheboygan Herald
