Della Wilson, 80, of Grand Island died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Celebration of life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born March 10, 1933, on a farm near Farwell, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Curtis) Pavlik.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Stanley; children, Marvin Ehlers, Joyce Combs and Denise and Todd Couillard, all of Grand Island; stepchildren, Byron Wilson of O'Neill, Dale Wilson of Grand Island, Patty Kuhn of LaVista, Randy Wilson of Florida, Barbara Hespe of Grand Island and Lisa Cox of West Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Norman Jacobsen of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Margene Pavlik of St. Paul; grandchildren, Mick Ehlers, Michael Ehlers, Adam Couillard and Allison Couillard; and great-grandchildren, BreAnna and Braydon Ehlers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bonnie Calvin; and a brother, Larry Pavlik.
Della was raised on a farm near Farwell, receiving her education at Farwell and St. Paul. She was united in marriage to Wilbur Ehlers on Sept. 11, 1950. Mr. Ehlers died Nov. 23, 1974. Della married Stanley Wilson on Oct. 28, 1983. She worked as a waitress for many years at the Yancey Hotel and Metz Steak House.
Some of her enjoyments included camping, traveling, casinos but most of all her time spent with family.
