BRENT KEMPTON AHNEN
1/12/1968-10/29/2013

Brent Kempton Ahnen, 45, of Le Grand, CA passed away after a tragic motorcycle accident on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. He was born at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, CA and was a lifetime resident of Merced County.

Brent graduated from Atwater High School in 1986 with honors and was one of the class Valedictorians. His jobs after High School were always working with his hands. He worked as a machinist & a draftsman, he loved to repair and construct things. He was currently employed with Kirby Manufacturing in Merced. He had wonderful bosses and a great group of guys to work with.

One of Brent's favorite family outings was gold panning. He was quite proud of every gold treasure he found. Brent truly was a devoted family man and would always make it a top priority to be at holiday get togethers. He was talented in art and drawing. He could draw anything free hand. Several of his nieces and nephews would often ask him to draw and paint backdrops for school dances or youth group events. Of course, Uncle Brent never said no. He would always help people the best he could.

Brent is survived by the love of his life, Enedina Marie; their two sons, Joshua Ragan and Brenden Ahnen; one daughter, Mikayla Ahnen; siblings, Stephanie Ahnen of Merced, Kevin Ahnen of Merced, Trisha Beames (Scott) of Alaska and Melinda Ramirez (John) of Modesto; parents, Bill Ahnen of Winton, CA and Jill Ahnen of Sacramento, CA; and grandfather, Norman Mellow. Brent also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Merrill and Lucy Mae Kempton and Alberta Ahnen-Mellow.

A family memorial visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA 95341 on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
