Johan Kastberg Arntson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Arntson, was born in Moe township Dec. 12th, 1881. Here he grew to manhood. May 11th, 1905 he was married to Karen Otilia Christianson of this county. The newly married couple moved to the northern part of this state and settled on a farm near Gully. With hard labor and thrift a fine farm home was established where he lived contentedly until his death at the age of 56 years. He leaves to mourn his departure from this life his wife and mother, three brothers, Ole, Selmer and Henry, three sisters, Marie, Mrs. M. Hanson, Nella, Mrs. P. Stuberg and Bertha, Mrs. Stener Foslien, Douglas county. His father Nels Arntson, two brothers, Alfred and Edwin and one sister, Clara, Mrs. L. Chally, preceded him in death.
