James "Jimmy" Fonseca, Sr., 80, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Raceland, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, James Fonseca Jr. and wife, Mary Jo, and Robert Fonseca and wife, Susan; daughters, Peggy Adams and husband, Richard, and Marlene Guidry and husband, Philip; stepsons, Blain and Bart Bourg; sister, Florence Arcement; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Breaux Fonseca; second wife, Magdalen Cortez Fonseca; parents, Gillis and Esprence Fonseca; and brothers, Emanuel and Roland Fonseca.
