Emily M. Spieles, 98, a former Ashland and Mount Carmel resident, passed away Friday morning at the Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman.
Born in Ringtown, Sept. 1, 1908, she was a daughter of the later Elmer and Martha Laudig Kreiger. She was a devoted housewife.
Her memberships included the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Ashland, and the Centralia American Legion Memorial Association Post 608, Wilburton.
Preceding her in death were husbands Arthur Boyer, William Chapman and Vincent Spieles; children, Donald Boyer, Stanley Boyer, Paul Boyer Sr. and Alice Campbell; brothers, Clarence, Roy, Joseph, Leonard and Clifford; sisters, Alice Causitis, Mamie Willey and Frieda Yetter.
Servies will be held 11 a.m. Monday from Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be the Rev. Dana Heckman Biel, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Numidia. Viewing will from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the funeral home. There will be no evening viewing. Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
